(English translation: In this book's episodes, Maddy and her daddy help each other work and play, learn and teach, laugh and cry, because that's the way they share their love for each other. Children are priceless, and the first man in any little girl's life can be that valuable.)

Autorenporträt
Rodo Sofranac is not only Maddy's daddy, but of three more loving kids. He's also been an uncle, granddad, mentor, tormentor, deputy dad, and Mr. Nice Guy to lots of other great kids. Rodo now shares his love with Maddy across thousands of miles of desert and ocean, proving once again that time and distance can't separate love. Rodo spent the first few years of his life in a small village called Rijeka Crnojevica, in Montenegro (formerly a part of Yugoslavia). The next few years he lived in Salzburg, Austria. His family then immigrated to the United States. Maybe it's this diversity of cultures and languages that inspire Rodo to read, write, and have fun with words, especially telling stories. He has worked with young children for over 40 years, as a teacher, translator, and mentor. In addition, he has raised four of his own, and now grows with his grandkids. Currently, Rodo lives in a larger village, Phoenix, Arizona, with his loving wife, Susan-who is constantly helping him with his English-and some of the kids.
