Gio's Nonna has been sick for a long time. Her lungs are hurt, and the doctor says she needs new ones. This is frustrating for Gio because he wants to play with her, but he can't. Join Gio as his patience and understanding are tested during his Nonna's journey to get new lungs. Note from the Author: I wrote this story to explain to my son what was going on with his grandmother. He was starting to ask a lot of questions, that I couldn't seem to answer quite right. I wrote the book, and had it drawn, so he could see what I was telling him. I wasn't expecting it to work so well, and to help other children as much as it did. I hope this assists you through the process of an organ transplant, like it did for my son.

Autorenporträt
I'm a mother of four (two are furbabies) that adores writing. I started writing down ideas, short stories, characters, and poems back when I was eight years old. If you ask my parents, I've been doing it even longer. I genuinely enjoy putting words on the page. It doesn't matter if they are formal stories or just letters I am writing to my brother overseas, I love it. The more I've delved into this process, the more I have realized I am doing more than that. I am putting a piece of myself out there for the world, and I hope you enjoy what I'm sharing.
