Autorenporträt
I am from a wee village called Methil, in Fife, Scotland, where many of my family still remain. I am ex-forces, having served in the Black watch (RHR), as an advanced adventure training and physical training instructor. I served for 22years finishing up as a Senior non-commissioned officer (Sergeant). I also worked with the justice sector for a good number of years on the electronic tagging of offender's scheme. In sport, I was the army individual boxing champion, and the combined services runner-up. I was also the midland district Dundee/Fife boxing champion twice and represented Scotland on a number of occasions. In my time, I have also organised and administrated several charity challenge's including, Tandem Skydiving, Mount Kinabalu, The Sahara Desert, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, The Gobi Desert, Mount Toubkal, Nepal experience, Mont Etna, a fire walk, and the climb to the summit of Moldoveanu. During my fundraising years, I have raised well over two million pounds for local and national charities and was awarded an MBE for services to charity from her majesty the Queen. Am I finished trekking and raising money for others? Nah 60+ years old now and I will still be doing it at 73 lol.
