Etsuo Miyoshi. Senior Advisor, Swany Corporation. Born 1939 in Kagawa Prefecture. He contracted polio at age six months, resulting in the impairment of his right leg. In 1964, as a senior executive of Swany, he began travelling abroad to open up markets for skiing and cold-weather gloves. He invented the Swany Bag, a cabin baggage-size bag based on a wheeled suitcase seen in New York, designed to support the user's weight, and the Swany Mini, the world's smallest folding wheelchair, both hit products. Later served as President and Chairman of Swany Corporation, and now serves as Senior Advisor.
