Nicholas Rescher, um filósofo muito publicado e amplamente respeitado, recebeu a Medalha de Aquino, a Medalha Helmholtz da Academia das Ciências de Berlim / Brandenburg, e a Ordem de Mérito da República Federal da Alemanha.
