Edith Lawrence, M.D., born in Manhattan and raised amidst the musical heritage of Harlem, overcame barriers as an African-American woman to study medicine in Paris. She was a chairperson of the Board of Trustees at Edmonds Community College and also participated in special programs for the handicapped. Her extensive medical background includes contributions to groundbreaking DNA research. Besides her dedication to medicine, Edith is a passionate patron of the arts, enjoying music, travel, and culinary adventures. Residing in Edmonds, Washington, she draws inspiration from her family's legacy of perseverance, talent, and unwavering faith. My Spiritual Joy marks her debut in the literary world, illuminating her deep spiritual connection and love for God.
