Often people would look at me and say that I am a strong woman. That may be true, but what people don't know is that while strength, for the most part, defines a person's character, mine came from a lot of physical pain, which I endured at a very young age. Autorenporträt
Penelope Davis Born Nov 11, 1970 In the city of Norfolk, Va raised in the city as well. Growing up in my time, you didn't hear much talk about abuse or at least I didn't. Maybe it was happening, and people just didn't talk about it. It wasn't until I became an adult that I would hear stories of women being abused by their boyfriends or husbands. Didn't hear much about children being abused. I decided to write about it and bring more awareness to childhood abuse because I'm certain if it happened to me, it may very well have happened to other children and for some reason, like me, they were afraid to talk about it. Children are being abused everyday. It's sad but unfortunately true. No one could have looked at me and known that I was abused and it's the same for kids walking around today. We have got to be the voice for our children. If you're in a situation that may put your child/children in harms way, let someone know so that maybe they can help you find a way out of that situation. Don't stay, it's unhealthy for you and it's not safe for your child.
