May we all be able to find what that is we want to do and at the same time be that light. Continuing to Carry On. One should never give up, no matter what the circumstances are. All of us have the courage, strength, determination, and perseverance to do that. But do we have the faith and belief to go along with it? Without that what will we become? Give each day some influence. Never know what you can do to help someone else. It is with that inspiration and influence that you can make a difference in someone else's life. Find that gift we have all been given. Let that become the purpose in our life and spread it to others. Give what is deserved by all. Spread your light, so others may have their light, may that light be extended to all.

Following his playing days, Gary Keating joined his father on the bench as a basketball coach. After his graduation from St. John's University, New York, Gary became an assistant men's college basketball coach at the age of 23. He would step away from coaching to help his father who had Parkinson's disease. Later, at the age of 38, exactly 6 months to the day after his father had passed away, Gary was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's. Since then he has participated in several research studies to help better assess the disease. Gary is a three time American Writing Award Finalist. Now helps a Caring For Caregivers Group to help others get through this journey of living with a chronic illness.
