Are you feeling overwhelmed? Struggling with a life that is full and overflowing? Harassed with overlapping appointments and unachievable schedules? Do you wish you could simplify your life? Ruth Amos shares her journey through a year where she learned about saying no, saying yes, and bringing some balance and joy back into her overfull existence. She hopes that you will also find peace through lessons she has learned, such as: How to create a time budget and know what to put in and what to leave out. When it is right to say no to a worthwhile activity, and when it is better to say yes to something uncomfortable. How to tell if you're just being lazy, when to push yourself, and when it is better to rest.

Ruth is an author, podcaster, blogger, speaker, and editor. After working as a lecturer in chemistry for ten years, she left the hustle of academia to follow her ambition to lead a quiet life (1 Thess 4:11). Since then, she has published five novels and a memoir, gone on several quiet retreats, taken regular Sabbaths, and learned to live in the 'unforced rhythms of grace' (Matt 11:28-30, The Message). You may have heard her regular Thursday morning chats with Scottie on Ultra106.5.Ruth is married to Moz, and they have two grown-up children, two children-in-law and two delightful grandsons. She loves reading, is a relatively unskilled knitter, and enjoys walking along the beach (pretty much any beach will do).
