Eyes red from crying, Yasu stared into Gregg's eyes and said, "Dad, no matter what happens, please don't abandon me." "You have my word, as long as there is breath in me, I'll be by your side, night or day." With that, Gregg kissed his soon to be adopted daughter's forehead and left. Walking down the road, Gregg paused to feel the cool night air on his face and found himself in Dry Gulch; again. Gregg sat on the edge of the bed, put his head in his hands and muttered, "Wow, what a dream that was." His hand then, touched a picture lying beside him. His heart stopped, as he stared at a picture of Yasu in a garden, dressed in a red and yellow Kimono. Tears filled his eyes, as he read the inscription, on the back, "To my Dad, Gregg."
Autorenporträt
Gary Brideau was born in a small house in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1947 and moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut as a small boy. He met Lauren, the love of his life, in 1985 and were married years later and moved to Bristol, Connecticut. One night, he had a vivid dream that caught his attention and spurred him to write it down, and send it to his sister T. Jene Brideau, for an interpretation who also is a writer. She wrote and told him that the story was good. Gary took her encouragement and his imagination went to work. That's when he discovered his God-given talent to write great space adventure stories. From then on, he has written over fifty stories of which only seven of them have been published with great reviews.
