This book is intended to amuse and interest you. You'll meet many people from history and see how they might have behaved in situations you're sure to know about. There are also murderers and victims - some real and some fictitious, barbaric punishment handed out by figures of authority, and kings and queens from the past who didn't always behave as they should have. There are 20 different stories for you to choose from and each is as fascinating as the other. Was Bloody Mary really as blood-thirsty as remembered in history? Did Lizzie Borden really murder her parents by giving them forty whacks with a hatchet? Was Rabbie Burns as enamoured of the lassies as reputed to be? (I think you'll find he was.) These are just a few examples to keep hold of your interest, but there's much, much more between these book covers to keep you glued until the end of each story. As for the answers to the above questions, perhaps you'll know those after you've read this book.
Autorenporträt
Now retired, the author has turned to her lifelong interest in history and coupled it with her own imagination. She likes to imagine what famous characters might have said and done at important times in their lives. She has a vivid imagination and utilises it to the full but it is her 'people observations' that bring the people from history to life. Her main challenge is to hold the readers' interest in both historical fact and fictitious stories, putting words into the mouths of people from the past, most of whom are known to us. She varies the historical stories with completely fictitious scenarios where the characters 'do their own thing' - that is, both good and bad things. Over the past three years, she has had four books published - all containing new and unusual short stories. She hopes the readers will enjoy them and keep coming back for more.
