Autorenporträt
Gail Notestine is the author of "The Adventures of Molly and Grainne", a clean midgrade series about a little girl and her Irish Wolfhound service dog. Gail inherited her love of story telling from her father, Vincent Jankowski, and has been writing stories and books since high school. Somehow, they always include an animal of some sort.Though she was born, and grew up, in Newark NJ, she has lived most of her life in the American south and has had a number of interesting careers, including Oil and Gas Accountant, President of a Holding Company, and a cattle and horse rancher. She and her late husband travelled the US and Central America for ten years, where she became interested in the study of parrots in their natural habitat. During the time traveling she and her husband built a very successful Jewelry business in over thirty-six Renaissance Faires. Gail also built the largest bird-related website in the world and built a parrot rescue, in South Florida, where she had between thirty-five and forty birds. During this time, she traveled the country lecturing about proper companion bird care.Gail now lives in North Carolina with a labradoodle named Connor, an enormous Irish wolfhound named O'Maille, and her daughter Tracie Martin, also a writer, who is Gail's editor and cover designer.
