It is located on 2 Roosevelt Avenue and is served by Amtrak's Northeast Regional train. The station was originally built in 1905 by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. It also serves as a Welcome Center for Mystic's tourist industry, and was a model for the American Flyer toy train station in the mid 20th century. Of the twelve Connecticut stations served by Amtrak, Mystic was the ninth busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 60 passengers daily.
