In his book, the author, a physicist with more than 30 years experience in an International Research Centre, describes and analyses his "travels" in another reality, i.e. experiences in a not-everyday plane of consciousness. They are called "holotropic" i.e. aiming towards the "Whole" and are in part comparable with near-death experiences and spontaneously occurred again and again (without the use of drugs!). They are called "holotropic" i.e. aiming towards the "Whole" and are in part comparable with near-death experiences and spontaneously occurred again and again (without the use of drugs!). The struggle between the author's "physics conscience" and the recollections of that other reality is the theme that recurs throughout the book.Topics that are discussed include: _Creation, the Big Bang and the Higgs field_The position of women in the Bible and in contemporary society_ Trinity, a concept common to all religions_Is God male or female, or...? A new view of God_Religion, Spirituality and Science_Space, Time and Matter. Physics and Mysticism. What is real? _Polarity, the driving force for all events on earth_Archetypes: Fertility, the Great Mother, Gaia and the New Energy_The global crisis: Imbalance between nature and technology; Egoism versus Altruism. Autorenporträt
Helmut W. Werner was born 1931 in Bruck a.d. Mur, Austria. He studied Physics, Mathematics, Philosophy and Psycholy at the University of Graz, where he received his Ph.D in 1958. He then joined an international renowned research laboratory in the Netherlands, where he was engaged in material research and analysis the following 33 years. He developed a method for the analysis of semiconductors, in particular for computer-chips analysis and was appointed Head of the Department Structure Analysis. He published many papers, wrote three books and was consultant to the EEC - Brussels in this field.. After his retirement in 1991 he was appointed professor for ¿ Industrial semiconductor analysis ¿ at the Technical University Vienna, where he lectured until 2001. He has stimulated cooperation in the field of materials research and co-founded a European based international society for materials research of which he was president for several decades. The development of advanced high-speed computers is in part due to the knowledge accumulated in this society. During his daily work he was constantly engaged with measurements regarding mass, atoms and energy . In his free time he then asked himself : what is the essence of mass and of atoms, what is their ultimate source, how far can logical thinking and physics bring us ? What is our consciousness, where does it come from ? During this lifelong quest he studied among others Paul Brunton, Theosophy and other genuine spiritual literature and practised several Yoga systems and medidation techniques. In 2006 and the years afterwards he had continuously occuring, spontaneous ¿ no use of drugs! ¿ experiences of the invisible, non-tangible subtle world. These experiences, called holotropic i.e. aiming towards the ¿Whole¿, culminated in an encounter with the female Archetype. This made him aware of the imbalance between the cosmic concepts of man and woman, which is reflected in the inferior status of women in present day societies. These experiences and reflections about them are given in this book.
