This study is intended to investigate the impact of institutional credit on agriculture production of Pakistan and uncovers the role of bank credit in agriculture production of Pakistan. The purpose is to paint the problems, prospects and challengers clearly and address what needs to be done in terms of offering technical, financial and intellectual assistance to the agricultural sector of Pakistan. The performance of banks has been analyzed in terms of targets given to them by State Bank of Pakistan. Subsistence level farmers feel many problems to get credit in Pakistan.Therefore, differnt lending mechanisms and schemes have been proposed through this research based study such as development loans for small farmers, supply of fertilizers, awareness campaigns, etc that farmers working at small and large level can avail in a befitting manner.
