David M. Scholer (1938-2008), was Professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. His many publications include Nag Hammadi Bibliography 1948-1969 (Brill, 1971), Nag Hammadi Bibliography 1970-1994 (Brill, 1997), A Basic Bibliographic Guide for New Testament Exegesis (Eerdmans, 1973) and The Caring God (Judson, 1989).
