Birger A. Pearson, Ph.D. (1968) in New Testament and Christian Origins, Harvard University, is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Religious Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the Editor, and main contributor, of Nag Hammadi Codices IX and X (Brill, 1981).
