Autorenporträt
A Note from Kim - My life is always a work in progress. No matter the goals I have, it's always about progress for me. Every step in my journey teaches me invaluable lessons. Even becoming a coach was not cut and dry. One choice led to another, to another, and before I knew it, I was using my skills as a professional coach. My path became clear, I discovered my purpose. I have been professionally involved in the self development industry since 1996, studying with, and working for, the best known professionals in the industry. During this time, I have had the good fortune to coach thousands of people, however, I still consider the daily work I do on myself to be the most challenging work. One of my core tenets is to always have the internal fortitude and grit to do the level of work I expect from my clients. I would never want my clients to have that Wizard of Oz moment, pulling back the curtain and realizing their coach is all talk and no action! I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, and I have owned various businesses; from an advertising and marketing company, to a commercial photography agency to an ice cream shop. My father expected a lot from me, he supported and trained me. At an early age, he taught me through his many businesses, expecting me to start and learn from the bottom and gave me more responsibility through my own merit. My experience in business has always shaped my coaching from an entrepreneurial perspective. Over the past fourteen years, I have been a passionate student of human behavior and psychology, studying in detail anything that I felt would add depth to my foundation and coaching skills. On a personal note, I have a deep passion for gardening, farming, growing anything organic. I love to play in the dirt, seriously, I love dirt. Getting my Master Gardeners Certification from the University of Rhode Island was a huge thrill for me. Right now, all of my personal studies are currently focused on knowing anything and everything about mindfulness, learning to live moment to moment being conscious and being present. Currently, I am LOVING my new life living in South Carolina with my husband, two children, two dogs and cat. Now I just have to learn to stop loving cheese grits so much!
