Autorenporträt
Allyene Palmer was born in Southwestern Colorado and grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. She lived on a ranch in the upper western corner of the Wind River Indian Reservation for many years, with space and solitude and time for thinking. During these years, she wrote many of her earlier poems. In the 1960's, she did professional church work in Cleveland, Ohio, and continued to write. Allyene Palmer is the wife of an Episcopal priest and currently lives in Denver, Colorado and Dubois, Wyoming. She and her husband share seven children, all of whom are grown with families of their own, seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
