"Nanoelectrochemistry is a branch of electrochemistry that investigates the electrical and electrochemical properties of materials at the nanometer size regime. Nanoelectrochemistry plays significant role in the fabrication of various sensors, and devices for detecting molecules at very low concentrations".One of the more promising nanomaterials is metal nanoparticles (NPs) because of their potential applications ranging from sensors to biological research. Also, use of metal NPs in catalysis is most important because of their increased surface area compared to bulk materials, which results in more reaction sites. NPs can be synthesized through various chemical, physical, electrochemical, etc. For some of the fabrication processes involved, electrodeposition offers advantages over competing techniques, in that it requires simpler instrumentation and operating conditions. Furthermore, electrodeposition holds great promise to deposit metals and alloys.
