Applications of nanotechnology to medicine and physiology imply materials and devices designed to interact with the body at subcellular (i.e., molecular) scales with maximal therapeutic efficacy and minimal side effects. Therefore it is essential to investigate and explore the potential applications and its impacts of nanomedicine through the lens of public health. In this book the scientific andtechnical aspects of nanotechnology are introduced, and some of its potential clinical applications are discussed.

Dr. Ajmal Rashid Bhat completed his Ph.D. degree from R.T.M. Nagpur University, Maharashtra. His area of research is Organic and Medicine Chemistry. Dr. Tabassum Ara completed her Ph.D. degree from Department of Chemistry, University of Kashmir and presently working as Associate Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, N.I.T. Srinagar J&K India.
