A Dra. Sudha J. Devaki está a trabalhar como professora associada (AcSIR), CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum. Obteve o doutoramento em polímeros líquidos cristalinos na Universidade de Kerala em 2000. Trabalhou como cientista visitante na Universidade Técnica de Dresden, Alemanha, em 2007. As suas áreas de investigação actuais incluem cristais líquidos, polímeros condutores, hidrogéis e óxidos nanométricos.
