H.M. Naqvi, geboren 1974 in London, studierte in Georgetown und an der Boston University, wo er nach seinem Abschluss Literatur und Creative Writing unterrichtete. Er gewann den Phelam Prize for Poetry und repräsentierte Pakistan auf dem National Poetry Slam in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Zurzeit lebt und arbeitet er wahlweise in Karatschi und New York. "Home Boy" ist sein erster Roman.
