When not inhabiting a world of the imagination, Maurice Claypole lives in the north of England. With a passion for the theatre and a keen interest in the British canal network, his previous books include The Legend of Sidora, Spirit of Canals and Goddess of Inland Waterways, and the canal boat drama, Narrowboat Blues.
