Narrowboat Kitchen is a series of 30 simple recipes designed for the basic (& sometimes quirky!) narrowboat galley. Methods include recipes suitable for using small solid fuel ranges as well as the conventional cooking facilities of hob and oven. Using simple ingredients which can be found in any canal backwater, the recipes are quick to prepare, often using a mixture of ready made and fresh produce and sometimes incorporating store-cupboard items which have a long shelf life. Economy can be applied and ingredients varied to what you can afford. Designed to create "proper" meals on the move for a hardworking crew, but still leaving time to enjoy the real pleasures of life.
