Douglas W. Blum is Professor of Political Science at Providence College and Adjunct Professor of International Studies at the Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Institute of International Studies at Brown University. His research interests centre on cultural globalization and the connections between globalization, identity, and security in the former USSR. He has recently edited Russia and the World: Security and Identity in an Era of Globalization (forthcoming).
