Dr. Alfred L. Anduze is a semi-retired physician/ ophthalmologist, who completed his medical degree and residency at Howard University in Washington, DC and Fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Andrew Weil, MD, at University of Arizona. Throughout his 40-year career his practice has always emphasized the importance of basic good health, cultural medicine, stress control, good nutrition and regular exercise. After serving as Assistant Commissioner of Health (USVI), on the Editorial Board of the Annals of Ophthalmology, President of the Ophthalmic Society of the West Indies, Atlanta Ophthalmology Consultants, visiting Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology University of Florida, Jacksonville, lecturer in 32 countries, and publisher of 4 medical texts, numerous medical journal, health and nature articles, he retired in 2012 to pursue a chief interest in the biochemistry and physiology of plants as they apply to disease prevention, ageing, and natural health in humans. He currently lives on a mountain farm in Puerto Rico, which specializes in organic products, medicinal teas and exotic fruit.
