Taro production in Ghana is constrained leaf blight disease cause by Phytophthora colocasiae Racib., began as small brown spots on the leaves, later appearing as purple-brown water-soaked lesions from which a clear yellow liquid oozed out. The purpose of this study was to confirm the causal agent of the disease and the factors involved in the disease development. It was also to assess the economic importance of the disease and determine possible control.
