Tushar Dutt graduated in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, in 1970. Subsequently, he joined the Indian Navy, wherein he served until 1991. He took active part in both the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971 and The Sri Lanka operations in 1987. He retired in the rank of Commander. He then switched to the evolving world of direct marketing and, six years later, moved on to infrastructure consultancy in roads and water projects, which he pursued until 2008. He is now into freelance consultancy and teaching of technical and management subjects. His pastimes include playing golf, playing guitar, singing, writing, meditating, cooking, and gardening. His philosophy is, "One Life, Do it All!" He is based in New Delhi, India, and has two charming daughters. He can be reached at tushar.dutt49@gmail.com.
