Shae is a mother of two children with special needs, one with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the other with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). With a deep passion for advocating for neurodiverse children, she has dedicated her life to helping her own children as well as others. As a former social worker, Shae has a background in supporting families and children with unique challenges, and she currently focuses her work on children with developmental delays.As a tutor, Shae recreates educational curricula for children with developmental delays, transforming standard materials into engaging, accessible lessons through the use of visual aids and individualized instruction. Her approach is tailored to each child's specific learning style and needs, whether they face challenges related to autism, ADHD, or sensory processing differences. Currently, Shae homeschools her children and teaches 4th grade at her kids' co-op, she has taken the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training to enhance their learning experience. She holds multiple certifications for working with children with ASD and ADHD, and she continues to seek ways to better understand and address their educational needs.Eager to expand her expertise, Shae is pursuing further education with the goal of becoming a special education teacher. Her mission is to create inclusive, supportive learning environments that empower children with special needs to thrive academically and socially.
