P. Parvatha Reddy served as the Director of the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) in Bangalore, India. He also held the position of Head of the Division of Entomology and Nematology at IIHR, during which time the institute was honoured with the prestigious 'ICAR Best Institution Award.'
