The monograph defines the essence and analyzes the specificity of Neoarchaic as a phenomenon of modern Siberian art, characterizes processes related to artistic appropriation of ancient mythological images in the contemporary Siberian visual art, traces historical and cultural stages of translation and interpretation of myth and the main archetypes, highlights the features of regional readings of archetypes, reveals the reasons for actualization of the Siberian archaic heritage in the contemporary regional art.
