Nerve Injuries are common. This Thesis studied the regeneration of injured nerves within vein grafts. The work was performed in the laboratories of the department of plastic surgery at UT-SouthWestern Medical Center at Dallas TX. The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of a novel extracellular matrix, E-Matrix, on the regeneration of repaired peripheral nerves in animal experimental model. E-matrix is a complex of biological components that enhances cellular growth and proliferation. We tried to compare the effects of E-matrix to those of nerve growth factors on the nerve regeneration.

Ich bin Professor für plastische Chirurgie an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Sohag. Ich wurde 1991 promoviert. Ich hatte 4 Jahre Aufenthalt in der allgemeinen Chirurgie, gefolgt von einer 2-jährigen Ausbildung in der plastischen Chirurgie für 3 Jahre, und ging dann von Juli 2001 bis Mai 2003 an das UT-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Meinen MD in plastischer Chirurgie erhielt ich 2004.
