New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math, usually referred to as NEST+m, is a New York City, New York public school, located at 111 Columbia Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It serves students from kindergarten through grade twelve. Nest+m is one of three citywide Gifted and Talented(G&T) programs in Manhattan. G&T programs are provided for students identified as gifted and talented by assessments that are administered by the New York City Department of Education(DOE). For the program, students are selected solely based on test scores. To be eligible for placement to Citywide G&T programs, students have to score at or above the 97th percentile on the assessments administered while to District G&T programs students have to score at or above the 90th percentile. The school was founded by former principal Celenia Chévere, an alumna of the progressive Bank Street College of Education.
