Internal shunts by implantation of shunts have been for many years the almost unique treatment of hydrocephalus but also the object of many complications what pushed the neurosurgeon to develop the endoscopic surgery notably the ventriculocisternostomy and the coagulation of the choroid plexus. the aim of our work is to report the experience of the neurosurgery department of chu d'oran, in the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus by endoscopic surgery, through a retrospective study, spanning from october 1, 2015 to september 30, 2016, we performed 67 endoscopic procedures, in 63 infants, with an average age of 20.38 months +/- 43.8 and a sex ratio 1/3. malformed cases were in the majority (50 cases or 75%).Our results were relatively, satisfactory and encourages us to continue the treatment of hydrocephalus by endoscopic surgery and generalized the indication of this surgery for other neurosurgical pathologies.
