The damaging effects of Burnout Syndrome have an impact on productivity at work, helping to make professionals ill and unable to carry out their tasks to the full. Given the analysis of emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation, low personal fulfilment and cognitive impairment, it seems pertinent to ask whether Neuropsychology can make significant contributions to Burnout Syndrome in terms of professional functionality? The interlocution of the fields of Neuroscience and Neuropsychology contribute to the psychological and cognitive management of Burnout Syndrome through psychotherapeutic strategies and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation of compromised and/or lowered higher mental functions.
