The methanolic and hydroalcoholic extracts of Murraya Koeinigii & Nelumbo nucifera, were found to be safe and no toxicity was exhibited in mice up to 5 g/kg b.w.p.o. These extracts at a dose of 200 mg/kg exhibited significant neuropharmacological activity. The aqueous extract at a dose of 100 mg/kg, has considerable response and moderate activity. A significant change in motor coordination and muscle relaxant activity was also noted in animals treated with crude extract. The results altogether indicates that the extract shows CNS stimulant activity.
