Samer G. Touma, Ph.D. has been a therapist counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families for almost 30 years. He is licensed by the State of South Carolina and a Board Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator and Board Certified Child Custody Evaluator. Dr. Touma holds a doctorate in counseling from the University of South Carolina - Department of Educational Psychology with specialized training in diagnosis, assessment and treatment of advanced psychopathology and personality disorders as well as psychological testing and assessment of mental disorders. He was appointed by the Governor of South Carolina to the Counselors Licensing Board and served from 2011-2015. Dr. Touma has been qualified to testify in courts as an expert in mental health issues, child custody, post-divorce issues, and parental capacity. Dr. Touma taught at the graduate level for 20 years. He founded the counseling program at Webster University- Columbia South Carolina and served as department chair for eleven years.
