Betty grew up post-war, an era of wood stoves and outhouses. It was a busy home life with five siblings. Not having a television, a radio and a book was entertaining.Attending a school with six grades in one room was a challenge, and she loved it. For her, it was about liking books and making life-long friends. Betty always enjoyed a good story. It was, and is still, an escape from reality.Betty believes that she was destined to write this book.
