Valery Vladimirovich Zuev se graduó en la Universidad Estatal de Leningrado (1959). Se graduó en la Universidad Estatal de Leningrado (1959). En 1993, fue miembro de la Academia Rusa de Ciencias Naturales (2000). Es especialista en el estudio de la composición de la materia y las propiedades de las materias primas minerales.
