There it joins the Metro-North Harlem Line, where trains continue south to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Northeast of New Rochelle, New York it shares track with Amtrak's Northeast Corridor, but the Right-of-Way and track is owned by Metro-North to the New York-Connecticut state line. From the state line to New Haven, the Right-of-Way is owned by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CDOT). From west to east in Connecticut, three branches split off: the New Canaan Branch, Danbury Branch, and Waterbury Branch, all owned by CDOT.
