Polymethyl methacrylate PMMA denture base resin is the material most commonly used for the fabrication of removable prosthesis. This material is not ideal in all respect and it is combination of virtues rather than one single desirable property that account for it is popularity and usage; it is far from ideal in fulfilling the mechanical requirements of prosthesis in spite of satisfying esthetic demands. The main problem associated with PMMA as a denture base material, is reduced strength mainly under fatigue failure inside the mouth caused by occlusal biting force and impact failure outside the mouth by dropping the dentures.
