This study explores among others a range of insights synthesized from new ideas and issues to improve the target-culture teaching in Algeria. It is designed to provide a critical account of recent initiatives in the teaching of the African and the target cultures including the Algerian, American and British studies (with a particular emphasis on the American culture in this study), in order to stimulate debate on the current scope of target -culture teaching and its enhancement mainly at the Algerian University. For instance, through different tools, techniques and methods (particularly interviews as tools, content analysis/research synthesis as techniques and exploratory methods) conducted via various research papers at the Higher College for Teacher Training in Constantine; it became clearly notable that cultural themes gained more insights in the field of education, higher education and research. Nevertheless, it requires further investigation that would inquire into the reasons behind the culture-teaching promotion. Accordingly, the study provides practical assistance for those wishing to refresh their critical thinking in the light of recent research in teaching and learning.
