New Polymeric Products: Fundamentals, Forming Methods and Applications introduces applications of polymer materials in different fields, including new products and processing methods. This book is rich in content and creativity and introduces the development, history, characteristics and existing processing methods of polymer materials in a comprehensive and systematic manner. Sections include the latest achievements from future travel, energy problems, special environment, lens materials and biomedicine, which are the most concerning areas of human society today. The book also introduces forming principles, methods, achievements and development prospects from shallow to profound. It will benefit researchers and new academic participants and broaden their vision. Sections cover the development history and prospect of polymer materials, introduce polymer materials, including new materials, characteristics, synthesis, naming and functionality, and delve into new processing and forming methods which are introduced in three parts: plastic, rubber and fiber according to different product types.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Professor Liu received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science, in 2005. Then he worked at Tsinghua University as a post-doctor for more than two years. In 2011, he went to Cornell University as a visiting associate professor and worked there for a whole year. His researches mainly focus on the preparation and application of polymer and its nanocomposites. In detail, his research fields include the application of high-performance engineering plastics, performance advancement of the rubber products, recipes design and processing development of plastic products, spinning of a special functional fiber, preparation of nanofibers by electrospinning, decomposing formaldehyde at dark and room temperature, preparation of membrane for fuel cell, application and preparation of nanoparticles, drug release and tissue engineering, etc. He has published 147 articles in peer-reviewed journals and given 49 oral presentations in national and international conferences. Prof. Liu has 57 authorized patents. He was often invited to review manuscripts for more than fifty journals such as Polymer, Advanced Science, Chemical Engineering Journal. Dr. Liu is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a senior member of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials, member of the American Chemical Society and Chinese Chemical Society.
