This publication, edited by Herbert Summesberger, contains three articles on the Santonian of the Gosau Group. Two articles deal with the cephalopods of the early and middle Santonian (heteromorphic Ammonoidea or Nautiloidea and non-heteromorphic Ammonoidea). Another article deals with the stratigraphy of the Upper Santonian (Upper Cretaceous) of the Hochmoos and Bibereck Formation in the area of the Schattaugraben.
