Produktbeschreibung
The book consists of 9 articles, written between the years 2017 and 2018. Each article deals with one of the topics related to the Sephardic Jews, banished from the Iberian Peninsula in 1492. The expelled Jews brought along with them their culture, language, traditions, poems, romances, and the environmental factors of the area they were welcome to settle down in, penetrated into their folklore and enhanced their old tradition in every aspect. The Bosnian Sephardic author, Sarajevan intellectual and feminist Laura Papo Bohoreta, has a special place in this book. She most definitely deserved it. Today, when the Judeo-Spanish language is disappearing and a rich Sephardic tradition is fading away into oblivion, some of us, enthusiasts and Sephardic culture lovers, try to save at least the part of their culture for the next generations.
