It deals with Information Dissemination Technologies on the Web, studying access to the CAPES Journal Portal, the SIBI-UFAL Electronic Books Database, Google Books and Social Networks. It presents a Theoretical Framework based on a broad review of the literature on the conceptual aspects of Information Dissemination, Digital Libraries, Electronic Journals, E-Books and Social Networks. In the empirical part of the research, a questionnaire was distributed with the aim of investigating whether the students graduating in the second term of 2011 from the Librarianship course at the Institute of Human Sciences, Communication and Arts at the Federal University of Alagoas actually know about, access and use the Electronic Journals and E-Books and Social Networks available on the Internet. It presents the analysis and discussion of the results obtained in the research and concludes with some considerations on the importance of using Information Dissemination Technologies for the trainingof students, teachers and also professionals in the field of Library and Information Science.
