Jun Xu is a distinguished professor of Zhejiang University and a professor and doctoral supervisor at School of International Studies at Zhejiang University. He is a part-time professor at the Center for European and American Literature at Peking University, convener of the 6th and 7th Foreign Literature Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, deputy director of the National Translation Master's Degree Education Steering Committee, and executive vice-president of the Translators Association of China. He is an editorial board member of more than 10 academic journals. He has published more than 200 literature and translation research papers and a series of monographs.
