Since 1980's and to meet the new industrial needs, other engineering materials based on the concept of "composite" were introduced. Any two kinds of material could, in theory, be combined to make a composite. The new composite material has multiple excellent properties than any of the monolithic materials; it is called advanced materials or advanced composite materials.
