Contamination of environment particularly water is becoming a major problem over years. Removal of those contaminants from the water using an effective catalyst was the main objective of the work which is presented in this book. The main sources of pesticides into the aquatic environment have been identified as runoff and drainage from fields sprinkled with pesticides, and from sewer systems. In particular, the production and emission are from infected agricultural plots, as well as their occurrence in surface waters has hardly been investigated systematically. It is difficult for the treatment by conventional techniques. Nano structured materials has proven their key role and got attractive interest for the researchers in the recent years due to their chemical and physical properties and also due to their electron transport properties. Many other researchers have reported the differences in the catalytic activity of TiO2 with different types of doping metals. This work can be extrapolated in the actual environment to decontaminate the effluents from industries.
